Mike Duffany: Leader of the Pack

The 2023 Fall/Winter issue of At Home on Cape Cod covers Mike Duffany's new role as President of The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts

Michael Duffany, founder and owner of M Duffany Builders in Falmouth and Orleans, has been named the incoming president of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Massachusetts for 2024.

At the ceremony, Michael Duffany, president of M. Duffany Builders, was honored as a “Legend of the Industry,” one of the highest honors presented to an individual who has made significant contributions to the building industry. Duffany has been a critical leader in the building industry for over 40 years, serving as HBRACC president from 2013-2015, on the group’s board of directors, and nominated to the Cape Cod Builders Hall of Fame in 2017.

Falmouth Community Television Honored Mike and Christy Duffany and the rest of the M. Duffany Builders Family, as well as Crane Appliance at their annual meeting, for contributions to the New Media Center.

This award is given to a member who consistently through philanthropic efforts, builds community , transforms lives, and promotes a positive image of Cape Cod's building industry

How To Sidewall

Sam Duffany worked with students on techniques for installing sidewall. Jacob Shaw shared his experience in working with M Duffany Builders through is Co-Op program at Upper Cape Tech. Tim Duffany shared his experience working in an operations support role . Students from Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne, Upper Cape Tech, Plymouth North, and Plymouth South attended the program.

Nine baby ducks were rescued after falling through a drain nearby a construction crew that was working on Main St in Falmouth. The crew was working on a restoration project in Falmouth, Cape Cod when the ducklings went into the drain.

Bourne Landfill Closing

Todd Duffany and Mike Duffany were interviewed by the Bourne Enterprises Michael J. Rausch about the Bourne Landfill Closing. This impacts Cape Cod Home Builders, Remodelers, and Cape Cod Homeowners.

When Todd isn't managing a Cape Cod kitchen remodel or bathroom remodel, he is out working in Falmouth community. Recently, he was interviewed by the Falmouth Enterprise regarding the drainage issue at the Sandwich Road field.

1983 found Mike Duffany looking for an opportunity to provide for his family, as well as start a retirement plan, something that was not available at the time through his employer.

On December 7, Mike Duffany—founder and owner of M. Duffany Builders—received the 2017 Hall of Fame Award from The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod. This is the highest award a member can receive.

This September, 2 year old Michael Jr. and 11-month-old Madison got a new home. Their parents, Heidi and Michael Richards of Brewster, were considering moving off Cape to find an affordable home. Now they can stay right here.

Mike Duffany, founder and president of Michael Duffany Builders, Inc., was interview on the home buyer television show Savvy Home Buyer.

The expansion will triple the amount of climate-controlled storage space under the main floor, which will allow secure consolidation of the historical society's more than 15,000 artifacts, 60 works of art and 134,000 documents from Falmouth's past.
